Excel’s brand new Wild Cargo toyhauler has been turning heads in the RV world since its grand introduction at the company’s national dealer show last August. Peterson Industries, Inc., in Smith Center, Kansas, manufacturer of the Excel RV models, combines luxury living with a flare for adventure with the Wild Cargo W39TKE.

As an RV manufacturer for 42 years, Excel has a well-established reputation for designing unique floor plans and outstanding craftsmanship of its Excel RV coaches. Excel’s main focus is building coaches for the high-end market and especially for people who are retired and full-timers.

“As we looked around and saw what other toyhauler companies were building we saw many models that were geared for the younger generation,” said Bryan Tillett, the President of Peterson Industries, Inc. “So, as we began to design our Wild Cargo toyhauler, we did not want to lose sight of our target customers and also continue to appeal to the full-time buyer. We still wanted to build an RV for the couple who is about to retire or is retired and who want to take their motorcycle or other ‘toys’ with them in their luxury Excel coach.”

For example, in the Wild Cargo, when you close the cargo door to the garage you are still living in a high-end fifth-wheel RV. You won’t find racing graphics, 800-watt stereo systems, black leather seats or black and white tiled floors. You will appreciate in the Wild Cargo the spacious cargo area that features beautiful oak cabinets and spacious cargo area (10’ 6” length) for your 4-wheeler, golf cart, snowmobile, two motorcycles or other equipment.

An easy-open aluminum framed ramp door, rated for 2,500 pounds, provides security and accessibility to the Wild Cargo’s garage. Commercial grade rubberized flooring makes clean up quick and easy. With the optional pull-down patio screen you can invite friends over for a patio party in the garage. For added entertainment, there is an innovative hinged 32” HD LCD television that allows for viewing in either the living area or garage.
The Wild Cargo’s innovative interior is designed for relaxing, with a double-sized bed above the cargo area. This bed is accessed by a ladder and overlooks the living room. The sofa includes a hide-a-bed for additional sleeping accommodations. You feel right at home in the living room with residential carpet underfoot. Sit down and relax in the Euro chair with matching ottoman. The round pedestal dinette table includes a leaf to extend it into an oval table. Beautiful fabrics on the sofa and dinette chairs add to the luxury. The comfortable master suite includes a queen-sized bed and enclosed bath. Many of Excel’s customers are retiring younger these days and they still want to take their motorcycles and other “toys” along with them as they travel in their Excels.

The quality construction that Excel is widely known for is found throughout the Wild Cargo. Wood frame construction is especially beneficial to the full-timers and the toyhaulers because of its strength, durability, and comfort. Full 5/8” plywood floors are sturdy, quiet and give your home a solid base.

The heated basement area protects under-floor systems and stored items from weather extremes. Gel-coated fiberglass exterior gives your Excel a beautiful, easy-to-clean, durable outer skin that is virtually impervious to the elements. Excel uses a box tube frame for unbeatable strength and durability.

Powerful “New Generation” hydraulics is a standard feature on the Wild Cargo. Hydraulics powers the slideout rooms at the touch of a button. Customers also appreciate the extra strength and reliability of the hydraulic front jacks.

As with all of Excel’s models, the Wild Cargo carries with it the company’s exclusive Minus 10-Degree Guarantee. You can be sure your holding tanks, water tank, interior water lines, and other essential plumbing won’t freeze—all the way down to minus ten degrees (-23 Celsius).
