In the world of toyhaulers, the universe just keeps expanding. Every time we think we have seen it all, another manufacturer puts their own spin on how to take your toys with you. Gulf Stream Coach is no stranger to the white hot toyhauler category as they have been developing different models for years. Now, it’s not often your toyhauler competes with your toys for which one you like to drive the most, but that, may be changing. With that we introduce the all-new Crescendo by Gulf Stream Coach.

Set on the Freightliner chassis with a front-mounted 340HP Cummins diesel engine, the best way to describe this unit would be a diesel pullin’, toy haulin’,luxury livin’ vacation machine.

There is a lot to cover on a rig like this, so for this one let’s start on the inside where first-rate appointments will be sure your travel experience is top of the line. As you walk in, you feel more like you’re entering the living room of a house rather than an RV. Faux tile linoleum really helps to accent the cherry cabinets nicely. All the fabrics match each other and the solid-surface kitchen counter tops creates a designer-type feel. The dining table has individual cloth-covered chairs rather than a bench style seating area which looks great. The table matches the cabinets and has casters on it so when the full wall slide is retracted, the table won’t get hung up on anything and, of course, the full-size couch converts into a bed.

The bathroom was designed with an angled door entrance, which makes a huge difference in the amount of room inside. We really liked this feature. There is nothing worse than a bathroom that doesn’t leave enough elbow room. As you go back to the bedroom, you notice the bed appears to be on a pedestal. Actually the garage is located under the bedroom, so the bed is raised slightly. It is a walk around-queen bed that sets straight in for easy access. The fact that the garage is below does not appear to affect the function of the room.

Of course, we’re all about the toys and with the new Gulf Stream you actually have two options. The first is the on-board garage. It measures 55” high by 55” wide by 96” across. It has the very unique drive-through ramp system, so you actually have ramps on both sides of the rig for easy loading. This garage also boasts a 2500 lb. payload capacity, which means you should be able to haul pretty much anything that fits into the measurements above. Your second option would be to pull an additional trailer. This unit has a 3500 lb. towing capacity, so pulling a flatbed, enclosed or boat trailer will be no problem. That feature is one of the best things about a drivable toyhauler. If you want to bring one bike, you can, but if you’re lucky enough to have a place to go where you can ride your street cruiser and spend the day on the lake, you are good to go.

The rig itself is 35’6” long and 100” wide; and from the ground to the top of the A/C, it is 12’ tall. The wheel base is 228”, which should offer a smooth ride, and Gulf Stream has the GVWR at 27,000 lbs. There are many storage bays around the outside that give the rig a bus-type look.
