For about a year now we have been waiting to get our hands on the new Endura Max class C drivable toyhauler by Gulf Stream Coach of Indiana. When we were scheduling the photo shoot we were informed that not only were we getting the drivable unit, but Gulf Stream was also introducing their new Track and Trail towable toyhauler and we would get a sneak peak at one of the first ones. WOW! A drivable and a towable from the same company. This market just gets hotter and hotter.

We start out with the Endura Max. This class C, Chevrolet, Kodiak C-5500 chassis measures in at 37’. This unit has a clean, professional kind of look with the burley Kodiak cab, chrome bumper and huge rear view mirrors. Gulfstream offers them with either a gas or diesel engine package.

This one had a living room slide that measured 10’. This makes a huge difference in the usable space in this coach. All the interior -seating surfaces, including the driver’s compartment are covered with leather. The primary bed is the cab-over section measuring in at 8’x5’. The dinette and the couch both convert to a sleeping area for additional people.

Another great feature is the flat panel LCD television that is mounted in a cabinet door that rotates out for easy viewing from the entire living area. While we are on the subject of television, this rig also has a back up camera that is connected to a small monitor, mounted in the driver’s visor. You simply pull the visor down and turn on the switch and you have a complete view of what’s behind you.

The kitchen has quality counter-tops with covers for the stove and twin bowl sink. You will be cooking with the three-burner stove- top or the large microwave oven. It also has a large two-door refrigerator with a stainless steel front panel.

The bathroom is functional with a shower/ tub combination with a molded seat that we have not seen in any other toyhauler. It had cabinets and a small sink

On to the cargo area, it measures11’x 96.5 inches and the entire floor is usable for loading. To get your toys in, you will get some help from the lift gate that comes standard with a remote control. A roll up style door allows access to the garage. Also, the garage has a wall mounted ladder with roof access for watching the races, etc.

Providing power for all the goodies in this unit is an Onan Marquis Gold 5500 generator.

Walking around the outside, there are a few other nice features. There are several good size storage compartments, one of which is a pass-through to the other side. There is also one compartment that has a Jensen stereo with speakers and AC/DC connections. This is great for when you need power to the outside. This unit also comes with a 20’ checker flag awning. Underneath there are a set of Atwood “Level Legs,” these will help you get this big gun nice and level for a good nights sleep. The 19.5-inch chrome rims finish off the outside of the Endura Max

Usually, we are pulling trailers all over the place, so we were eager to drive this unit around town. We were impressed with how easy it was to drive; you just didn’t feel like you were in a 37’ rig. The seats were comfortable and the ride height of the cab provided great visibility.

No coach like this would be complete with out some super cool toys so we contacted our friends over at Bourgets Bike Works to see if they could help us out. As it turned out they were getting ready for Sturgis and just happened to have a few of their custom cruisers available for us to use.
