Being toyhauler people, we all have one thing in common: the toys. Although we each have a different mix in our arsenal, I think we can all appreciate each other’s passion for our given sports. The other thing we all have in common is, as soon as a new toy arrives, the first things that tend to happen are upgrades. It’s not that the factories don’t produce great machines compared to just a few years ago, but there is just something cool about personalizing your ride. Some of us are into flash and others into function, but either way, if you’re into off-road then Lone Star Racing should be on your radar.

Having been around as long as I can remember, Lone Star builds some of the hottest performance parts for the ATV and UTV industry. Recently, we were given a tour of their Mesa, Arizona, facility, and we were really floored with how much this company had going on. We counted eleven CNC machines all grinding away to make their signature performance parts. They have racks of frames dating back to the early 80’s that the jigs for the parts are made from. All of the powder coating and chroming are done in-house in the custom paint shop that has its own oven.

Our tour continued with a look at some of the custom UTV’s that have been created from their parts. These rides were simply off the chart! They had something for every brand, making these some of the nicest toys you will ever see. For some of these machines, no expense was spared and owners have as much as $40,000 or more invested in their custom ride.
