Dutchman Specifications
Dutchman Model Information

The featured Toyhauler this issue is the 2005 Dutchmen 35 SRV (Sport Recreational Vehicle) called Victory Lane. This 39.5' 5th wheel is really eye-catching from the outside with cool graphics and two slideouts on the left side of the rig. Also, on the left side is the fuel station, which holds 30 gallons of fuel. An outside hot and cold water faucet lets you hook up a quick connect hose and spray nozzle for hosing off your stuff. The left side is also where the dump station hook-ups are along with approximately 31' of some of the largest-gauge power cord that we have seen yet to run the 50 amp electrical service. Two 30lb. propane bottles are located in a compartment on this side.

At the rear, Victory Lane also has a bumper, which is un-usual for a toyhauler, but it is out of the way and the sewer hose is stored there. We thought the bumper was a nice touch for this Dutchmen unit and will provide extra protection. On the ramp door is a roof ladder with removable pins so it can be easily moved when you open the ramp.

On the right side (entry side) of this trailer are two doors, one for the house and one for the separate garage. This 5th wheel had a two axle set-up with nice aluminum rims and ST235/80R16 E load rated tires. There is a large storage compartment up front with access doors on either side. The awning outside covers from the bedroom to the garage. There are three 12 volt lights on the right side of the trailer and one up front to help see at night. Under the front bedroom outside is where the 5500 Onan Marquis Gold generator is stored, along with the single battery box.

The Victory Lane is entered by pulling out the manual 3-step entry, which leads you into the spacious living area. The main room has an 11'+ slide-out which makes it very spacious inside. There's an am/fm CD player built in with speakers on either end of the slide-out. Within the slide area is where the sleeper couch goes along with the dinette sleeper which has a removable table. The cabinets above the sleeper and dinette are good looking with frosted pane inserts. Under the dinette seats are two large storage compartments. The kitchen has lots of cabinet space with raised panel natural oak solid wood doors with a matching refrigerator and a large pantry. It also has 32' available on top for a TV. A large residential-style white sink with a high rise faucet is there along with a separate filtered water spigot.

The master bedroom has a 6' slide-out with a queen-size walk around bed, a color coordinated bedspread and a mirrored headboard. Two closets and lots of drawers give ample room to store your clothes and linens. Also the storage under the bed is very useful for all the other things that always end up in the toyhauler. The head room in the actual bedroom goes from 5'10" to slightly less in the very front against the mirrored closet. The bathroom sink and shower enclosure are located on the left side as you walk into the master suite with the toilet located in a small room on the opposite side.

The garage is separate from the living quarters with a vapor wall and a solid entry door or you can enter the garage from its own outside door. With the ramp door shut there is 9'7" from the front to the rear of the garage, with the entry part of the door is 87" wide. Once through the opening the width is 92" from side to side and 6'8" tall on the inside. We were able to get three Honda quads inside the garage without any problems. We also put a golf cart with a two wheeler inside without any issues. There are 9 of the heavy duty tie-downs in the garage with two good size cabinets in the front; clothes rods under the cabinets to hang your riding gear, and space on top of the cabinets to store goodies. The inside of the ramp door is covered with diamond plate and it has a flip-down extension to make for a smoother transition from the ground onto the ramp. Two cables are what assists with the opening and closing of the ramp door instead of the usual spring assist. This Dutchman has electrical hook-ups and a flip down TV table inside the garage area.

Now for some of the specifications; the exterior width is 8', height 12'9", hitch dry weight is 2,112 lbs. with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 15,500 lbs, which is pretty light for a 39.5' toyhauler with two slides. The grey water has two 37 gallon tanks, black water with one 37 gallon tank and 84 gallons of fresh water. Finally, a trailer with big enough tanks!
