I am Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a aftermarket upgrade for toyhaulers.
That would give you the abbility to remove the queen size pull down in the rear of the trailer
Then install a double electric queen beds in its place.
I have talked to a few service places and they say they will sell me the parts but will not do the install.
(liability issues)
I have tried to get ahold of the manufacturer but I keep getting the run around.
Thank you ph34r.gif

If you can get the parts, then why not do it yourself. I installed dual electric bed in my TH replacing the old style drop down bed. I used a Happi jac brand set up. The hardest part of this project is getting the parts (Happi Jac only sells to factories)

You will need supports for the actual bed rails (track) on your side walls. Instead of tearing my walls apart, I just bought nice 1X3 lumber and ran it from the floor to ceiling, attaching them onto the face of the walls where the rails needed to go. I then attached the rails to the 1X3's. The 1X3's transfer the weight to the floor and made the walls much more solid. You do have to build your own actual bed platform, but that is not very difficult. (Paint the 1X3's before attaching to the wall)

It is worth the effort.

Hey there G or B! When we were looking at our new trailer the only thing I really didn't like was the rear bed system it uses straps to lower the beds....so we looked at having the factory install another system- the Hapi-Jak system and they would not do that...so we ended up with thier system, mad.gif but the good thing is that all the wiring is in the walls if I still want to convert over. In our research to find a better system I found ALL SEASONS RV in North Hollywood, Ca. the parts mgr. was more than willing to order me the required parts for a complete 2 bed Hapi-Jak system, even though I was not buying a trailer from him. I seem to remember the whole setup being around $800-1000 that was almost 2 years ago though. depending on the construction of your trailer it shouldn't be to hard to install blink.gif - the unit is semi- self supporting and only needs the studs in the walls for keeping it square and stable. the hardest thing might be to route proper electrical to opperate the unit. hope this helps! BTW the Next Level now uses the Hapi-Jak system....wonder why?? laugh.gif

We had electric beds installed in our Wanderer by RB Components. They did a great job. Got the flip couch on the bottom too. They also replaced one of our couches with a dinette and recovered the other couch to match! We are very happy with it. They are in southern california. http://www.rbcomponents.com/

They did our whole installation. It took about 2-3 days and we dropped it off on a Saturday. I beleive they will also sell you the system if you are handy enough to install it yourself.

http://rbcomponents.com/02/spec-interiors/...-5th-wheel.html This one is ours. I didn't know we were on their website. We got their catalog form the sand show and there is a small picture of it in there also, but these are better.

Let me know if you have anymore questions! biggrin.gif
