Simply Out Of This World !
As Chef Emeril Lagasse would say, “BAM!” Check out the new graphics package on Newmar’s X-Aire Galaxy edition. This was already a hot looking rig with its molded and capped body work, sporting perhaps the most unique ramp design in the industry, but these graphics are well...out of this world.
Offered in three floor plans from 38 feet to 40 feet, Newmar wanted to give people a reason to step up. Underneath this rig you will find shock absorbers and bulldog landing gear as standard items with an optional porch entry. You can also opt for the electric over hydraulic disk brakes (a very good choice).
The Bedroom
The bedrooms are spacious with very large vanity/dresser units that offer great storage and the use of the top as a desk. You can also get a king-size bed, which is a “must have” for those couples wanting to enjoy a longer vacation. All the bedrooms come with slide outs and have large closets across the front.
The bathrooms in the X-Aire come in two configurations, a separate toilet room with the shower and sink as part of the master bedroom or a completely separate bathroom altogether. The separate room is really good sized and you can use all the amenities without feeling cramped.
In the Kitchen area the good stuff just keeps coming! The kitchen is offered in the standard oak look or you can get the new platinum version. The platinum version changes the floor and cabinet color to grey. They also offer an interior in a color called “Spice” which we did not get to see. The kitchen is fully loaded with a double door refrigerator, stove with oven, and a microwave. Solid surface countertops and simulated ceramic tile finish off the galley. The triple slide has the full island kitchen with fold-out countertops and bar stools for the kids.
Living & dining
You have two options for the dinette area: either the standard “bunk” style that has lots of storage and converts to a bed or a table with four chairs. We really like the table and chairs if you don’t need the extra storage and sleeping area. All units had a good-sized couch that converted to a bed. We looked at several different models and each one had a slightly different configuration on the electronics packages and how they were set up in the living area, but you would be proud to have any of them. They all had large flat panel TVs and rockin stereo systems. This year they added the Kicker Audio surround sound system to the mix. The control panels were clean and well marked and all X-Aire models have an above the garage interior queen loft bedroom.
The Garage
With a full twelve feet from front to back you should be able fit all kinds of fun into the back of the X-Aire. The garage had a set of upper cabinets and a TV. These units come equipped with a set of double queen beds that retract via remote control. High grade, oil resistant flooring covers the garage while the ramp has a bedliner type finish that has great traction. Speaking of the ramp, this is by far the most unique feature on this trailer. The entire light assembly and molding fold down with the ramp. It looks really good and seems to offer a little more “shallow” loading angle. A fuel station and water hose finish off the garage.
It’s no wonder with Newmar’s reputation for quality and excellence that their toyhauler line was bound to be a success. To receive more information on the full line of Newmar products please call 574-773-6560 or visit them online at www.newmarcorp.com.
