Rage'n Specifications
National RV has come out with another great toyhauler for the family that wants to go places and not just sit around. This toyhauler is a 34 pull trailer with a front bedroom and smooth sides. It s rather large for not being a fifth wheel, but it gives lots of room in the cargo area for the family with a LOT of toys. The new graphics on the outside are very eye-catching and tastefully done.
The feature trailer this issue is the wide body R34S RAGE N TOYHAULER which has three axles with electric brakes on all wheels. The sides are a one-piece vacuumbonded aluminum-framed wall and are fastened to the chassis by a z-channel system patented by National RV that allows the wall to be fastened in the channel from the bottom and the sides. The chassis also is supposed to have almost zero flex so that all the interior components stay in place over the long haul. This trailer has a 13,000 GVWR and an unloaded weight of 8,150 lbs. with D range radial ply tires on chrome wheels. The underbelly has a corrugated ABS weather proofing system. The front has a diamond plate rock guard and the rear of the trailer has a beaver-tail entry for easier loading. The R34S also has an optional fuel station which holds 36 gallons of fuel for a 4.0KW Onan generator and your toys. The outside also has a big storage compartment that you can get to from inside or outside the trailer, as well as an outside shower. This toyhauler holds 106 gallons of fresh water with 40 gallon gray and black tanks.
The optional interior has a fresh new look to it with lots of cabinet space and a split kitchen. This unit has a front bedroom with a queen size bed. Our trailer also had an optional rear electric queen-size bed that has curtain doors to close it off if desired, with snap covers that block the
windows; a double queen electric bed set up is also available. It is equipped with an AM/FM, CD stereo system with two speakers and ours had two optional outside speakers for your listening pleasure. The shower has a tinted skylight in it so you can watch the stars while you take a shower at night. The rear ramp door has a zip-up screen set-up so you can leave the ramp door open and keep the bugs out. The flooring looks more like house flooring instead of race-car flooring to give this toyhauler more of a homey look instead of the garage look. I personally like the interior color scheme of this model and it comes with a bedspread and pillow shams to match. The fold down sleeper sofa and the dinette has matching fabric skirting which has a real clean look. The carpet also comes custom fitted to the floor and is easily removable when it is time to load the toys. The kitchen has all the standard features; overhead microwave, 3-burner range with oven, a 6cu.ft. gas/electric refrigerator and a stainless steel double sink.
The cargo area on this trailer has plenty of room for the growing family, with a cargo weight carrying capacity of 3,910 lbs. The ramp door opening is 91 wide by 78 tall. The cargo space to the kitchen is 203 plus another 30 you can use in the kitchen area if needed. There are 76 between the wheel wells, the fold up beds were there anyway. To top it off, a small 2-wheeler should fit in the hallway between the kitchen and front bedroom.
National RV has one of the most organized and cleanest manufacturing facilities that I have seen to date. You may ask why this is important...in my opinion I feel that a facility that is clean and organized means that the management cares about their product and are taking the necessary steps to make it the best that they can. National RV also offers a tour of their manufacturing facility Monday through Friday at 3:00 PM in Perris, California. If you have any questions, contact them at (951) 943-6007 or on the web at www.nationalrv.com and tell them that you saw it in ToyHauler Magazine"!.
